Because its vague. Proof to so.e isnt proof to all. So she is using wordplay. Her quest log is proof to her. She knows, but they cant use that.
Just because she has something that proves it to her, doesn’t make evidence that anyone else can use as proof. (Or would even believe to be sufficient to call ‘proof’.)
