Oh? so I am not the only one who makes that mistake I also sometimes think Sage’s name is Phil but that might be because I think it was said that Phil is his self-insert into the comic to a degree
so is the “Jack” misspelling suppose to be an intentional Kaylin actually forgot his name and is calling him “Jake” or are you literally saying Jake in there cause you forgot his name is Jack
I am intentionally having Kaylin call him Jake because she unintentionally does it all the time unless she has been recently corrected on it. As for why she does it unintentionally, she really doesn’t care all that much to remember because he’s honestly not that important to her. Meanwhile- He thinks she does it to tease him- which has lead him to think- maybe she- maybe she “likes” him! 😀
i would honestly believe that it was being swapped every time or every other time it gets corrected
like sure he is an “important”(named) character… but the exact name is forgettable

The current text in the second panel refers to how they spoke, not the promise. It should probably be changed to:
“Remember what we promised Jake?”
