Well, I mean… If you grow up with a deity coming to visit often, it’s a bit difficult to not count them as “extended family”.

Kaylin’s awkward face in the last panel is hilarious. She’s had a LOT of god-level interaction lately, and it’s not quite “normal” for her yet it seems. I can almost hear her going “eh heh…” in an pained anime laugh way as she spares the others the details.

Poor Henry has probably already filed all of this away as Adventurer nonsense, but dropping the “gods are common for them to talk to” lore on him may still stretch his worldview a bit. Really it’s kinda impressive how he’s managed to stay sane thus far.

Randomly makes me wonder… if Henry has been ‘serving’ Callum for a while in the course of protecting him, it’s almost like he’s taken on the role of a party hireling for Callum – and in SOME games you can level NPCs like that up if you keep them around. Would be funny if he’s been quietly benefitting from various shared xp gains Callum had while constantly inventing things for years. Ellisia might want to make sure Callum’s guardian has a few more points than the average townsfolk, after all…?
