Moonlight Guidance – 11

Correndel is paying for his mistakes, and naturally- dumps it off on Yunn while proving he didn’t really think it over first, he’s just reacting to put out a fire before it gets too bad.

He truly is incompetent! Maybe he really does need to be replaced and you know that the dark elves goddess is hearing all this since her priestess is there.

Dude, Correndel! Personal space! Also, some words are not okay for the workplace (or any place); let’s try for some professionalism, here.
(Really, him cussing out Keilia like that isn’t fair. She’s an idiot, but he should have paid more attention from the start instead of just tossing her the metaphorical football and skiving off to lounge by the poolside.)

At least now we know 100% that Correndel didn’t ‘choose’ Keilia for her looks. But I suspect her tenure as high priestess may be coming to a close.

No, no, Yunn is right, he really is incompetent. I’m guessing it is less her hearing his thoughts and more him whispering under his voice without realizing it, and then insulting a loyal follower because he didn’t pay close enough attention to stop things spinning out of control.

ahhh the classic incompetent manager doing what incompetent managers do
assign blame away from themselves
propose nonsense solutions
saddle someone else with cleaning up the mess

Can we trade Correndel to get the other sun god back? I wouldn’t trust this one to be god of a candle stick….

“El is paying for his mistakes” while a plausible abbreviation for Correndel, we already have a character with that nickname! Might want to adjust the description.

Okay, I already kinda felt bad for Keillia, not it’s outright pity at this point. Hopefully after things get fixed Yunn can help her adjust considering I have a feeling the other high elves aren’t gonna enjoy what she’s gonna have to tell them too much.

I don’t. I feel like she could have asked for clarification of the talking to themselves words, and prevented this whole mess. Or at least not jumped straight to persecution of other gods worshippers.

It’s quite amusing to see a god be so terrified of a ‘mortal’.

Lvl. 20 head slap. Correndel I fear is quite a bit sexist I fear…but all is not lost. I feel a lot of guidance in the form of carefullly phrases advice could lead to a lot better situation.

The scary part is that the whole ‘slipped up her hearing my thoughts’ bit… may indicate that Keilia actually IS the best person for the high priestess job in the generic sense, as she’s obviously actually capable of communing with her patron deity to that level. If Correndel were actually good at his job, he’d basically have a nice long chat with her. explain the problem honestly, and have the two of them get to know each other better.

Because, frankly, having an ‘administrative assistant’ who is capable of understanding how the boss thinks and able to properly predict what’s needed is just what any boss needs, but especially a lazy one like Correndel.

If he were actually thinking long-term, he would be actively training her to run things properly in his name.

Dust goes everywhere, so does the sweeper.
And nobody notices the sweeper in the background.
