To me… the hardest part of this comic, was deciding how to make the potion bottle look and have any kinda clue for people to know what it is at a glance. Even then- I am betting a lot of people will have no clue! Older video games had some weirdness- especially with translating stuff to English. If you are curious- check the comments, I am sure someone will guess it correctly. XD

holy moly
Metroidvania enemies?
I’m guessing this might be an ‘activates on grabbing’ it kind of potion rather than one to be kept for later use?
The needle image makes me think a (temporary) buff to stab attacks.
Or the Gold Needle for curing petrification is actually a liquid. This would be like how poison enemies tend to drop antidotes.
First idea for what the potion does is that the Needle and the monster it dropped from makes me think of the Golden Needle item in Final Fantasy games that cures petrification.
It would also make sense for the item to inflict petrification or add that ability to a weapon depending on how it is meant to be used.
I knew someone would get it- yes its a potion for removing petrification. The golden needle is the item from games like FF that cures petrification, and in other places it got localized as “soft” and was occasionally shown or described as a potion. I figured showing a golden needle – even a fancier one wouldn’t make sense to a lot of people, but bottles as potions for curing/healing are known pretty much by everyone. Including the needle on the bottle is mostly just for “people who know know” XD
I saw an eye with a vertical slit, and assumed it was a cure for the gaze attack. Used the wrong formula, still got the right answer.
