Oh, Nyna.
You do realize this may wind up with you as Kaylin’s angel/herald, don’t you?
Bragging rights, am I right? XD
I’m suddenly reminded of a scene from ‘Angel’, when Illyria was speaking of her past: “Once, I was god to a god…”
Nyna is a smug little shit but in this case it is unfortunately well earned.
mmm does “pey God” also work here instead?
“Its”.
I gotta point this out, otherwise it’ll drill into my head until I snap one day and go running down the street shouting “ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS!!!” Really, none of us want that.
TBF, in pretty much *every* other instance (if not every instance) when it comes to possessive form, the apostrophe must be there. It’s only natural to forget about the outliers.
I know, it’s a typo. I appreciate it when people point it out, I just don’t like it when they point it out in a rude way. I unfortunately didn’t have the usual person to look over the comic that catches MY specific frequent mistakes and typos. Even they have started to see how I type suposed all the time and started thinking that’s how to type it- but it’s not! It’s SUPPOSED! (That’s probably the most common typo I make!)
I dont think your message was all that rude- i have gotten far ruder messages. It will be fixed very soon.
My Gloomstalker Goblin Ranger became a Twilight Cleric of Lurue (Neutral Good Unicorn Goddess of the Stars and Moon, Adventurers and Parties, Teenage Rebellion and Monsters) partially because Lurue is the Mount of the Forest Queen Goddess Mielikki (who’s Holy Symbol actually depicts Lurue’s unicorn head instead of Herself). And I mean that literally, when Sylvanus (the Forest Father) calls upon Mielikki to ride into war, She calls upon Lurue to become a unicorn and rides Her into battle. So, yeah, even in canon D&D settings (this is from the Forgotten Realms’ Faerunean pantheon) the gods have some interesting relationships (though, my favorite is still Eilistraee).
Forgot to say why; Poppy became Lurue’s priest because her own Dire Snow leopard mount (played by my husband, at the time only dating) took her to Lurue’s Glade, since Lurue is both a goddess of monsters and mounts, and adventurers and parties, but is undeniably a Good goddess. And Poppy was looking to prove to people that a former-pirate goblin can be Good. He’d been taking lessons from our party Cleric, but he worshiped a Lawful Good god, and she just couldn’t go that far, living by that many rules.
Really don’t like that you can’t edit these after they are posted. Even minor typos in my writing bug the crap out of me. Poppy became Lurue’s Cleric, and she is definitely female. The Cleric of a variant of Moradin was teaching her. And she totally agreed with the importance of family and civil protection, just not on all the strict rules. She killed the men who abused the other women at her brothel. She loved to play pranks on people. And she helped a former Goddess of Assassins become a better person. Popped-Eye the Pirate Gob may have started off as a joke character (I rewrote the entire Popeye song for her), but she became one of the deepest characters I’ve ever had.
Sounds like an anime title
That sounds like a heck of a story. 🙂
Slappy the clown-raised firbolg would be proud of your Poppy.
Is he hard?
The obvious question that needed an in-comic answer for posterity! Kaylin’s used her Silver Tongue so much, it’s probably the skill people know by name the most for her.
… now we get a smash cut to her testing out her Bloody Carnival against…. something…. not alive. hm. Maybe Callum can unlock Training Dummies? Those ‘fake mob/npc’ entities that basically take unlimited punishment and report how much damage they take?
