Isn’t it as simple to take off as to touch it with the intent that “turn back into a slime ball”? She may just want to be more natural in front of a goddess.
Is this why she ‘boosted her assets’? To appear more motherly and/or persuasive to demi-goddess Kaylin?
It’ll certainly make their face-to-face discussions more interesting.

So it’ll be like having a professor as your advisor as a grad student, except she’s studying to be a demigod? I mean, it does sound like a viable system, but the meetings should be… interesting. Especially given how they seem to get along already. “Why are we meeting in a hot tub?” “I could do a stuffy old office if you prefer…”
Oh, i see more now what they meant by “Demi-God”.
It’s more like becoming a “Champion” of said god. Or more precisely his/her avatar, his/her “acting hands”.
While High Priestesses are more like their spokesperson toward the populace. Spreading their words, their teachings and their will, avatars/champions would be more like their physical acting hand. Championshipping their cause, enforcing their will, doing things on their behalf in the world itself and representing them.
Which is why Lyrestra seem to explain to Kaylin that she would be closely monitoring and tutoring her. The status come with immense power and definately with some rules (or call it leash if you want). Else that adventurer would loose that status. This is why it seem that gods would only “hand pick” carefully which adventurer they choose to be their (perhaps sole) avatar. And Kaylin seem to have been elected to be the first one of the first. The test subject for all other gods to see if this is a good idea or not.
Or like a Chosen in the Forgotten Realms.
… Which is a really crappy job, once you get past all the powers and stat bonuses.
If that is what is meant by Demi-God in this context, it’s definitely a mixed deal. For an adventurer that values their own freedom, agency, and ability to choose what they want to do, effectively becoming someone’s minion could be frustrating and stifling. But on the other hand, would being a “champion” in this regard effectively mean that they are given infinite favors from their patron god/dess? Would be relevant for the new respawn rules!

I wonder if the next promotion after demigod, would be to become the goddess of monsters? I hear there is an opening???
Kayla has the God of Monsters position in hand. What is needed is a Champion of monsters. Maybe Kaylin could ask for another level for Nyna, who is already within a whisper of becoming a Raid Boss (which probably includes respawn?)
