I always assumed that Q stood for “quartermaster” in the James Bond series. Wikipedia seems to agree with me.

This just makes me miss my 1E Pathfinder characters. I had two that could’ve done something like this. My Battle Scion Dwarf whose entire goal was to make a suit of power armor, and a Metaforge Android who could basically create his own armor and weapon much like Samus Aran.

I had a Goblin Abjurer who took Craft wondrous item, Craft magic arms & armour, and Craft construct.
I would have liked to craft more stuff than I wound up doing, but the party ran into some pretty decent loot during “Second darkness”. Though our Dwarven Ranger/Rogue kept using the elfbane rapier I crafted for him until the very end of the game. 😀
