I mean, Y’all should have known that, it’s on the cover. XD
Had a questionnaire recently about the next book! A bunch of questions were asked and you can find the answers on Bluesky at this link!

I posted a Questionnaire about working on my latest book a few weeks ago- In it I included a section for comments, and some people had some questions- Due to how the questionnaire works, I don't know which questions were from who- so! I'm going to answer a bunch of them publicly here! Here we go-

Well yes but that cover was oh so long ago that the very existence of covers in this comic escaped me until your comment was read.

Only seventeen pages ago, that’s no too terribly long.

Is that one of the dragons that Kaylin drank with? I mean, I suspect it isn’t, particularly with THAT name. RUINdar is a name that’s unlikely to have been given to a Dragon Character who could have been easily befriended. More likely it’s given to a Draconic Raid Boss, or something even beyond that (because Dragon).

After the supposedly unkillable tank king, what’s a dragon or two? Heck, bring Sena along. She’ll love it.

We did indeed know a dragon would be involved from the chapter cover 🙂 “Night Dragon” is an interesting title though, potential association with Lyrestra of the Moon? The name is clearly one that everyone in the room other than Nyna is probably supposed to recognize, and I suspect we’ll get more of a lore drop on the next page! So, a plot- or lore-important dragon!

However, it sounds like Yunn and Elzy are “game-aware” enough to know what raid bosses are from past-Kaylin’s speech; and further to know that this dragon ISN’T one. That doesn’t mean the dragon is LESS powerful than a raid boss – it can actually mean they are MORE powerful. In some tabletop rules, leaving a NPC’s stats undefined means they’re basically invincible. In other open world games, “plot” or otherwise “Dont attack these characters I am SERIOUS” NPCs are given absurd stats to resist random player attacks with overwhelming force. We already know Ellisia won’t allow anyone else to be status-effect Invincible, but that doesn’t mean this dragon can’t be all-but-unkillable in practice.

Not that this NEEDS to end in combat, of course. Kaylin’s far more aware of NPC lives than her prior self, and her Silver Tongue skill may be especially helpful here. But depending on implementation this could qualify as more dangerous than the tank-king NPC, and Kaylin’s just had her first brush with “death” and is all too keenly aware of the counter she now has on respawns.

any chance the dragon’s a girl? 😉

Name sounds pretty manly, but that could be a fake-out and the dragon IS a girl.
We´ll see. Sexxy dragon lady, yes please 😉

Nyna’s next line:
“Uncle Rui? I haven’t seen him in forever!”
